How does it work?

Ordering through ToMyDoor enables you to purchase food and supplies from the comfort of your couch. Just tell us what you need and we’ll bring it direct to your front door via a safe, contactless delivery service. See more details on how our food delivery service works here.

ToMyDoor will continue to offer a professional NZ online shopping service throughout all COVID-19 alert levels and beyond. ToMyDoor offers food delivery services for several convenience stores and restaurants.

Where do you shop and deliver?

Our trusted shopping service is currently available in Rotorua, Dunedin, Queenstown, Arrowtown, Oamaru, Auckland (Mt Eden, East Tamaki), Whangarei, Whanganui, New Plymouth, Napier, Hastings, Havelock North, Wanaka, Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Timaru, Cromwell, Hamilton, Matamata, Christchurch .... – enter your address here to see if we are shopping in your area.

Is ToMyDoor permitted to operate during all Alert Levels?

Yes. ToMyDoor has been confirmed as an essential service by the NZ Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).

How do I order groceries and other items?

Order online by choosing a Basket from our selection of standard orders or make up your own Custom order. You can also call us on 03 667 1574 and we will take your order over the phone. You can also fill out a request form here.

What shops, groceries and supermarkets can I buy from?

Popular shopping destinations for ToMyDoor food delivery services include Countdown, New World, Pak ‘n Save, Night 'n Day and other. We can also shop at specialty suppliers, organic produce stores and pharmacies.

We can't always shop at a particular store or outlet but will always do our best to shop local, source the best products and provide safe and secure delivery.

How do I pay?

You can pay via our secure online payment system or over the phone using a credit card, debit card or online banking. We do not accept cash.

For a Basket and Pickup and Delivery service there is a fixed price and this will be charged to your card when you confirm your order.
If you are making a Custom order then we ask you to estimate the price of your order. When ToMyDoor finishes shopping we will enter the actual amount to be charged.

How much is the Shopper fee?

Each order is charged a Shopper fee which covers pickup or Shopping for your order and a delivery fee.

As some examples a prescription pickup and delivery from your local pharmacy is $10. Do your weekly grocery shop with a Custom order of around 20 items and Shopper fee is $25.

How long does delivery take?

Our cut-off time for orders is typically 10am. Your order confirmation will clearly show the approximate date and time of delivery . We start shopping around midday and aim to deliver around 2pm, most days of the week.

We’ll send you a text message and email about half an hour before we deliver your order and then again once we have placed the order at your door.

How do you ensure my safety?

ToMyDoor provides a contactless shopping service and all orders and payments are made online or over the phone.

We take our role as a food delivery service very seriously and have developed processes and procedures to keep our personal shoppers and customers safe and the items we order in good condition. Our employees follow strict food and hygiene guidelines (wearing gloves, frequently washing their hands, hot and cold storage equipment .. ) and social distancing to provide high standards of health and safety.

Who purchases my items?

We are proud to have a dedicated team of Shoppers and Deliverers around New Zealand. ToMyDoor has partnered with local businesses and their employees become part of the ToMyDoor shopping team. Many of them will be wearing uniforms and drive branded vehicles so don't be surprised if Nomad Safaris deliver yours food in Queenstown or Ask Jeeves tours in Christchurch.

Many of the ToMyDoor Shoppers hold commercial driver’s licences which means they have undergone NZ Police checks and have regular medical examinations.

What information do I need to provide for you to collect a prescription?

Some medicines or prescriptions from pharmacies will require your approval to allow us to collect on your behalf. In this instance, you may need to call your local pharmacy to arrange collection.

I live in an apartment block. Will you deliver to my door?

As part of our contactless online personal shopping service, ToMyDoor delivers to the door of the main building closest to the street when delivering to apartments or multi-tenanted residences.

What about my privacy?

Your privacy is extremely important to us – our employees handle every personal shopping order with the utmost discretion. ToMyDoor uses secure online systems and end-to-end encryption for all online communications and we do not store credit or debit card details. Please read our privacy policy for more information.

Do you have an app?

Not at the moment. We expect to have an app up-and-running early June 2020.
